No doubt the last two years have been challenging for our industry, nonetheless we have weathered the storm and we are where we stand today, stronger than ever. East African countries continue to ease travel restrictions given the drastic drop in the number of new infections and deaths resulting from COVID-19. The vaccine roll-outs have been greatly effective and widespread.
The challenges notwithstanding, East Africa has seen a number of destinations emerge, several new properties open, worthwhile renovations and an improvement in our sustainability and conservation efforts.
More than ever before, nations have awakened to the need to preserve ecosystems so they can sustain a life worth living and Sense of Africa East Africa is taking its role in the overall betterment of our environment seriously. We have evaluated our itineraries to ensure they are sustainable whilst undertaking major changes in supplier vetting, management of the day-to-day business operations and the creation of sustainability and conservation awareness amongst our staff members and business stakeholders.
In the words of Mahatma Gandhi, “The future depends on what we do in the present.” Let us make our future worth looking forward to.
We endeavour to make our product offering throughout East Africa richer. With this in mind, we have added balloon trips over the impeccable Amboseli National Park as one of the magical experiences that our guests can enjoy. Once guests are in-flight, they will experience a spectacular 360-degree view of the earth coming alive, as the sun rises in the east; the many variations of the Amboseli ecosystem; Kilimanjaro to the south; Amboseli National Park to the north; abundant wildlife, which Kenya is famous for; and the local Maasai Manyattas and Bomas in the area.
This is an experience guests want to capture and relive over and over. Binoculars and a camera are a must. Flights generally last about an hour, however flight time can vary from 45 minutes to 1½ hours, depending on the weather conditions of the day.
Once the flight is over our charming guide will be waiting to take guests on a short game drive on their way to their personal champagne breakfast table. This is an ideal time to listen to the captivating stories relayed by the chief pilot while breakfast is being served. To seal this tour in the sky, a commemorative Flight Ascension Certificate will be given to each guest.
