GoVacation Africa, a full-service destination management company and a division of Tourvest Destination Management, specialises in inbound travel to South Africa, Namibia, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, to name a few. Traditionally, GoVacation Africa offered professional services to both the FIT and group leisure travel segments. The recent events have inspired the team at GoVacation Africa to expand their horizon into further special-interest experiences.

Sabine Blehle, CEO of GoVacation Africa, says: “The last year has highlighted how short life is, how vulnerable our existence can be, that we can’t postpone what we actually want to experience and to live life now. This is the foundation of two new environments we have created. The first being Scuba@ GoVacation Africa and the second, Black@ GoVacation Africa.

“Scuba@ was born from the passion and expertise of our highly trained diving experts within our business. There is no better way to share experiences than with those who have absolute dedication and devotion to what they are passionate about. The same would apply to Black@. We believe that tourism will attract, even more than before, travellers that seek self-actualisation through uniquely curated high-end luxury experiences.”

Sabine Pfeiffer, Director Key Accounts Germany, adds: “Scuba diving is my passion and has been for the last 16 years and I have had time to explore even more of our beautiful diving destinations than before, since international travel has been on hold. I can now add more of my passion for tourism into what we have created at GoVacation Africa, showing guests the underwater world – a different kind of game encounter compared with the traditional safari we all know – with bucket-list experiences such as the Sardine Run; the biggest freshwater aquarium in the world in Malawi; the most southern coral reef formations in Africa (Sodwana Bay); or one of Jacques Cousteau’s top-ten sites in the world. We offer tailor-made scuba-diving adventures to suit all levels of divers and can combine these with multiple countries or a holiday experience in the destination, benefiting from our African footprint. Our team of qualified divers at Scuba@ GoVacation Africa are looking forward to welcoming divers to Africa’s shores!”

Christiane Glanz, Director Key Accounts UK, France and Switzerland, says: “Having worked in the travel industry for the last 25 years, I have had the pleasure of experiencing more than most, and have had the pleasure of being able to distinguish true luxury. What experiences set the Black@ GoVacation Africa traveller apart? That unparalleled encounter that no one else, or at least very few, has had the privilege to enjoy! For me it is not about social media, Instagram or Facebook, but rather an encounter that is a uniquely personal experience. One that enriches my life, that creates memories that allow me to grow and contribute to society and humanity. It gives me the greatest satisfaction to be able to provide people with the opportunity to live out their most luxurious dreams in Africa; the luxury yacht transfer around Robben Island or driving a Cobra through the vineyards of the Cape with the wind in your hair; to help them find that which excites, energises and delights them on a very personal level.”
