Preparing for 2027 while strengthening industry connections

June was a busy and productive month for the Sense of Africa, Botswana team as they focused on preparing for the upcoming 2027 travel season while continuing to strengthen key industry relationships and celebrate important moments within the team and the wider tourism community.

A significant portion of the month was dedicated to brochure contracting and package development for 2027, with the team working closely with supplier partners across Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia. This included updating itineraries, reviewing accommodation options, finalising DDS and other key packages, and navigating a number of rate and product adjustments to ensure trade partners continue to have strong, competitive offerings for the seasons ahead.

Alongside this, the team hosted valued industry partners in their office, including representatives from Africa Bush Camps and The Okavango Collection, reinforcing the importance of ongoing collaboration and relationship building within the destination.

June also provided an opportunity to recognise and celebrate people-focused moments, including Female Ranger Day, where the team acknowledged the incredible women contributing to conservation and guiding across the region, as well as Father’s Day, which was celebrated within the team.

While much of the team’s work takes place behind the scenes, these interactions and celebrations served as a reminder of the importance of connection, both within the team and across the wider tourism community they work with every day.

Overall, June reflected a balance of focused operational work, industry engagement and meaningful moments that continue to shape how Sense of Africa Botswana represents and develops Southern Africa as a destination.
