Norman Wallace has been appointed chief operating officer of aha Hotels & Lodges, a division of Tourvest Accommodation and Activities (TAA).
Wallace spent 33 years with Tsogo Sun, retiring in 2015 after 18 years as operations director responsible for managing the hotel group’s properties in Africa, the Seychelles, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Since then he has run his own consultancy, advising hotel property owners on new or repositioned projects.
aha chief executive Neil Bald welcomed Norman to the team and wished him a long and successful career with the business.
Extending his welcome to Norman, TAA CEO Gary Elmes said that Tourvest would start to look at how best to benefit from the various systems within its hotel and lodge operations throughout Southern and East Africa. He said this could involve consolidation across the Tourvest lodge and hotel operations.
