Be led by one of South Africa’s historical icons – Paul Kruger or Dingaan and get a first-hand account of South Africa’s earliest liberation struggles as we trek through the city of Pretoria. Paul Kruger (1825 – 1904), more affectionately known as Oom Paul, was the face of Boer resistance during the Second Boer War. Alternatively, meet the legendary Dingane kaSenzangakhona Zulu, or Dingaan (1795 – 1840), who is known throughout history as the king responsible for the fall of the Zulu Kingdom. Lacking his brother, Shaka Zulu’s, military and leadership skills, he led his kingdom on a downward spiral from the moment he assassinated Shaka to assume the throne. Whether pioneering the treks in Pretoria or stampeding through the battles of Blood river, you are sure to be captivated by the:
